Dave..........Well I am effectivley that age but just haven't had my birthday just yet ......which is OK as I haven't had them for the last few years .

Yes.. a certain Mr Piper did the same. Seems some blokes of a certain age would rather stay young than grow old disgracefully Anyway.. that's my 'train' of thought (discretely getting loosely back on topic)

I went for a walk the day before my fiftieth and again, for comparision, on my birthday and I can honestly say, based on the walk I took on that momentous day, that I was just as fit as I was in my forties

But if we should manage to get back on topic, I'm sure Eric would be chuffed

Lovely atmospheric shots. You can almost smell the coal smoke.

The guy walking away matter of factly with the engine behind just peering out of the smoke is a real cracker

These pics would look well in black and white as there is little colour anyway but they are 'full of atmosphere' as Paul says
