Are there any known issues with running the T7 on FSX?

At the moment, I have the engines cutting out as soon as I bring the throttles back to idle.

Hi Ant :hello:

I can't recall having seen this and I've flown the Meatbox in FSX both standalone and with Trev Clark in the back during MP. Been a while though so I'll go and take another look ;)

Yup.. I see that now too under SP2/ACC 8) There may be a fix out for it but in the meantime.. don't whack the throttles closed when on the deck. The engines will idle nicely at around 3500rpm and sit there all day. However, rapid closing of the throttles at low RPM causes the engines to drop too far below this to be able to recover so they cut. I don't know enough of the problems FSX causes on FS9 models to suggest anything permanent but hopefully, one of the Guru's will pop in to sort it ;)

Well I manage to keep the engines alive if when I return to idle, I move the throttles slowly. If I want to back off quick, I must only go to a third or a quarter throttle to stop the engines from closing down.

Hi Ant :hello:

I did have that once, a cuppla yars ago - but now it runs sweet as a nut.

Don't know the cause - it happened on some other aircraft, too.

Might have been a calibration thang.

Are there other sounds that would be more closer to the Meteor rather than the Learjet sounds?

HI Ant :hello:

I think most of us use a set originally released for the Tu-134. Can't recall the filename but it should still be available at Allnodes

Is there a paint job for the Martin Baker Meteor?

Hello Mate :hello:

There isn't a Martin Baker model as such (it's a 7.5) but.. I'm pretty certain the black with gold cheat has been done. I'll have a look and get back ;)

EDIT: Sri mate. A look on my systems shows it aint there and a check at the usual sites shows it not to be there either. Dunno what I was thinking of but it couldn't have been the MB Meatbox :(

Well, thought people would assume I meant the one Martin Baker uses. Along the lines of saying a paint job for such and such squadron.

Anyway, I've got some photos of the silver and orange MB Meteor if anyone fancies doing the up to date paint job :)
