Well, it's a website I frequently visit - just so... that's why I remembered the FAQ section... :worried:

Q: Are you ever going to model anything else?
A: No, I've long since stopped making 'new' models. I will update the existing stuff from time to time, but all you'll ever get from me is One-Elevens, VC10s, Comets & Tridents.

Would you call a VC an update...? :worried: :worried:

Q: Have you ever thought of converting the Comet model into a Nimrod?
A: Go away.

Aah... okay... cheers, guys... :worried: :worried: :worried:

DM moves in mysterious ways Nick. He won't do anything unless he wants to but one thing you can guarantee is the element of surprise ;)

Right I have them both installed now!, ive done some external comparisons, and I think DM's looks closer to the real thing but theres not a lot in it!
The flight model is notableing diferant! DM's needs the tail triming for a good take off run for starters! but it also feels slower in the turn..
couple of things though... Im struggleing with the auto pilot on the DM aircraft when useing it to fly an ILS it seems to abort the landing? no problems with the Payware one, im testing on Runway 08 EGVN 111.900.
also im useing FSX and was wondering if any one had corrected the smake trails? in the cfg that is! to get them to line up with the Conways?
[if any one has the above files for DM's 111 and trident also I would be greatful ;-p eles imgoing to have to fiddle!!!]

The real VC 10 needs good trim for take off.

As mentioned there are real VC 10 pilots here....DM's is the most realistic.

Don't get lulled into the often percieved belief that because an aeroplane needs trim ordoesn't behave as you think it should, or like another model of the same type does,,,,that the model is wrong.

BTW asking to compare the payware VC10 here is like sending Boeing an email asking which is better..Boeing or Airbus.

This is THE support forum for the DM VC 10.

Well found that the ISL problem was bettween the chair and the mouse!! The payware aircraft is far too tolerant on intercepting the glid slope and had me in bad habits!
The quality of freeware in this place is just well.. stunning.
I think the payware model has sacrifised realisam for flyiability/useability...Sorry if I caused a bit of drama with my post not ment to offend.
Just need to sort the smoke out! any help would be mutch appreciated.
Cheers SamRo

on a foot note a K3/4 repaint would be cool at some point what with the 10 on the way out..

No offence SamRo :)

It more amusing when you think about it and it is seen the the spirit of things :)

DM and DB even had a play with the real RAF sim so it really is a good attempt of realism as is the Trident with the help of Peter who is an ex BEA Trident Captain he also flew Vanguards and many military jets.

We also have real world Nirmod and One-Eleven pilots here even a Britol Superfreighter pilot so I think you can feel assured of a good end product. :)

Engineers on may types are lurking here too along with flight planner loadmasters and.....well a lot of knowledge :)
