No.. never released. I remember Kimber posting the same (or a similar) shot here but try as I might, I couldn't remember her name. Shoddy as we only have around 3 or 4 girls here! :wall:

Doing a bit of digging, it seems everyone knows the Chipmouse could have floats fitted but no one has seen one with them fitted so whether one was, I honestly couldn't say :dunno:

Not to worry about the Chipmunk on floats. Least there is the wheels version to fly around with.

Things can be available but never taken up

The Viscount 840 for example

The Protoype 700 was re-engined and flown at over 400MPH for that version of the 810

But no one ever ordered it and the conversion kit option was never taken up by anyone....so despite it being available for sale for a few years it never actually existed.

I'm sure if a floatplane Islander was wanted they would have built that, but no one showed much interest in the mock up as was also the case with th BAe 146-STA

So it is possible the floated Chipmunk was there on paper.maybe ecen breifly trialed then converted back but not taken up by anyone *-) :dunno:

As far as the Chipmouse goes.. had Rick been happy with the floats, he'd probably have released it but to quote Kimber, he wasn't happy so it remains somewhere on Rick's system (maybe) and on Kimbers (I'm sure she'd never delete it) ;)

You mention options not taken up.. a look at the 400Srs 1-11 is a good example. Vickers/BAC had more options available for that little tinker than you can shake a stick at
