Hi Eric :hello:

You can't load fs.9 with the FS.9.1 no crack

Check you've not got them mixed up *-)

Hi Eric..

It's not in the config and the registry still reports 9.0. Unfortunately, you can find the build number from inside FS (on the help tab) which should say 40901.01 but that's not much help as you can't get that far. Did you completely remove the old exe file from the FS root folder or did you let it overwrite? I'm pretty certain you have to remove the old one first and just drop the new one in it's place. As Garry said, you can't use the 91nocd with an unpatched sim. There was a 90nocd (which I may still have) but 91 is the way to go.

Hi Dave.Yes originally I just overwrote the file but have just tried deleting and replacing it.Still wont run, each attempt brings up the Microsoft 'Send/Dont send'error report.Replacing with original file with Disc4 inserted reverts to the CTD.I can see a complete FS9 reinstall coming on,probably with a new set of discs.Oh what joy!.I will be out now until late evening so I will give it another go tomorrow. Thanks for your help.EricT :wall:

Hello Mate..

Rgr that. It does sound like something is fundamentally up the creek :( If your 1,2 and 3 are still ok.. I'll send you my disc4 should you need it. I know I sent it to someone not that long ago.. I'd better check it came back now

Eric

If you do need to re install you can do a custom which leaves all you add ons in place *-)

It was the Captain Sim 757 (the FSX one) that destroyed my FS setup and pushed me over the edge! I never got either FSX or FS9 running right afterwards even after I removed all trace of it and reloaded FS9. I think Ben told me that he'd had similar problems.

I hope you have more patience than me, Eric, because the CS757 was what caused me to give up flight simming ... in favour of cycling

Good luck, mate!

Ian :)

I have the £9.99 one (the lite version I guess).. it might have been cheaper than that. No FMC (that I can remember seeing) and an FD probably straight off the default 737. This wasn't destructive at all but I remember Ian's problem and Ben's too and thanked my lucky stars I'd not bought the FSX version :agree: If something CAN happen.. it will happen to ME

Installed it, got it running (just) if you consider 4 fps good at Aldergrove when looking away from the terminal. Hated their custom repaint install system and binned it, a complete waste of time and money

Funny you mention Aldergrove Ben. The UK2000 FS9 version is a blinder.. great FR's even when toppers with AI. The FSX version runs a bit 3-legged-dog-like by comparison and that with nada AI 8) Had a similar experience at Edinburgh with the payware Islander. How I got it on the deck without destroying it is definitely more by luck than judgement. Not sure if Scotflights Edinburgh scenery wasn't to blame though. *-) The FS9 version works a treat!

Sri.. I digressed :OT:
