Sorry airboatr, didn't see your post until this morning.

The FSX CS 757 is a bit of a frame hog... That's the price you get for all the visual goodies. There are SO many animations and details in the model it's unbelievable. However, that said, it's incredibly immersive. Worst case is at the airports when you have so much AI and airport detail as well as the plane. I tend to turn down or off AI at those points.

I've not done a great deal of flying in it though as the FMC is beyond my ken. I've tried figuring it out, but I really don't know where to start or what to do etc. I've hand flown her a few times and used the basics of the autopilot (heading hold, alt hold) and she seems to be able to fly. Never having been in a real world example though, I really can't comment on how good the flight model is. She certainly feels much more realistic than the default planes... But then that's not really hard is it.

Thanks for the offer on the vid though, I'll have a think on... But I bought the 757 on a whim during one of the sales (wanted to recreate the Bristol-New York Continental flights) but just got overwhelmed by the complexity. Not sure if a RW instructional vid would help much... ;-)

Fodda,
I figured the reason you hadn't replied was timming.
I thank you for it. :)

well the offer still stands on the vid. (and for anyone really).
.... it works as a great sleeping aide btw..

I'm still thinking, ...my tags on the RV and SUV are due, DL needs info change... plus..
well there ought to be something left over for a shinny new aeroplane to fly. :)

ok gotta go for now. I have a *-) mahoooooooooosive  amount of concrete to pour today.
all hand mix :help: ... oh my back is saying .... stay home and fly ... stay home and fly...

QUick question Eric. The 9.99 is for the base Pack, and the 300 and freighter are an extra 9.99 ?

I would have to slightly disagree with you there, Andy.

Yesterday evening I went up for the first time in the Alphasim F-104G and had a real whale of a time!

I must admit, I spent most of the time in the external 'tail' view, so that I could listen to the awesome sound of that engine - they have really got that down well. Brought memories of Luftwaffe F-104G's filling the skies over Germany in the '70's. Used to be one of my favourites. If you turn up the sound (with a good 5.1 or more system) just as you're hitting the throttle for take-off, it pretty much makes your tummy rumble like the real thing.

Well, okay - not quite, but almost. Brought a big grin to my chops B-)

Okay - it's not that cheap - but it's a good add-on.
