Apparently the DRM folder and licenses are created the first time you play the file with MP. I know one thing, I will never purchase anything that is DRM protected again - what a hassle. Anyway I am glad your all sorted now!

Hi Nige :hello:

Well.. that may be why it wasn't where it should have been as the first time the file was played was with Real Player. I'm not really sure why it ended up being 'looked at' in MP10. Perhaps it was when the annual license ran out with RP.. I really don't know. Whatever, it was already 'defunct' by the time I tried to play it in MP on that pc. Amusing that the old pc reports a probably problem with my pc's sound. Dragging it over to the newest reports that it's possibly the IDTags causing the issue. Of course, the real issue is the DRM and not the IDT in itself as these are found on mp3's to store album details and not exclusive to wma.

Anyway.. here's a question for you. Why do pipes always leak water near a bend and where you can't get PTFE tape over the hole?? I'll tell you something.. I'm getting really pi$$ed off with this happening

Murphy's Law, I suspect. Same law that applied when you tried to remove DRM from that Elbow album. Lucky for you, i know nothing fixing leaks and I don't have a clue what PTFE tape is. I take it that it not something you can use for recording though.

No mate.. not even for recording massive anger levels

I isolated the leak last night and despite my best efforts this morning, I couldn't slow it enough. A consequence of how this damned place is plumbed, I couldn't isolate the leak without cutting water to both the ladies and gents loos (a definite no no when you're open for business) so a call was sent out to my friendly (but expensive) plumber. He came off another job to do this and left in a hurry to get back to it so I eagerly await his invoice in the mail.. NOT 8) Last time he came to fix an identical type of leak some 8ft away down the other end of the pipe (I kid ye not!).. it cost me £82.40 or thereabouts. £80 was for the callout and £2.40 for a few joints and a few inches of copper pipe :'(

£82.40! Ouch. :'( That is a lot more expensive than what plumbers charge for a call here, but to be honest (knock on wood) I haven't had to call one in a long time but I think the call charge was around $75 back then.

It worsens..

Found one of my deep fat fryers leaking this evening and you don't really repair oil tanks. Cost to replace is anything from £1500 to £4000.. depending on what you want. Wish I had £15 let alone £1500 (ex vat of course) :'(

Some days.. you just wanna run (in my case, walk) under a big truck (or semi) and end it all :wall: Wish I'd chosen a life of crime!

Ouch again! £15000-4000 makes £82.40 look like chump change. Is it possible to buy a used tank for it or is that a dumb idea? Anyway, cheer up mate, things are bound to get better.

No.. I've looked at the construction of the unit and the tank is integral I'm afraid. On a slightly different note.. the plumbing repair I had done yesterday 'let go' again today leaving me with 2 very wet walls and approx 2gallons+ of water over the floor in the Gents loo! Thank goodness for dustpans with rubber 'leading edges'. These are a lot more effective at removing large amounts of water off the deck than a mop. I can laugh about it now (sort of) but at lunchtime today (12:30) when the brewery bloke turned up 3hrs late to change two fonts and replace a lot of other crap in the cellar (that he didn't do in the end).. when I got the message that there was 'a bit of water' on the deck in the gents.. I was not very impressed at all. Said plumber came out sharpish and disrupted the water supply to the Ladies and Gents (I offerred tickets to who wanted the single flush.. only 3 available) and I hope.. fixed the leak for good though I'm not 100% sure. I found a couple of single drips tonight that hadn't amounted to anything more than single drips but there was no other sign of condensation so we'll see what tomorrow brings. Good news though.. he's put an inline-stop INLINE and before the poo hits the fan (apt) so the Gent's can be isolated from the Ladies. However.. a problem in the Ladies will still cause both toilets to be without water.

Cest la vie 8)

A plastic butter tub is catching the leaking oil out of the fryer.

Anyone want to buy a pub??

Mmmmmmmm... Real dripping! Spread it on toast for that authentic 50s and 60s staple lunchtime meal... Toast and dripping! Still a major foodstuff in Poland, I love the bread and pork-fat they serve with beer there.
