A2A Guppy repaints

Post by VEGAS »

Hi guys

Has anyone any knowledge of any A2A guppy repaints? The only ones I know of are the one or two over at Avsim, the NASA one I believe. *-)

It's just that I was trawling around the web for the Airbus Skylink repaint but I don't think it's ever been done

Unless anyone knows otherwise. Any ideas Larry? :hide:

Trouble is, a lot of the later real life Guppy liveries were applied to the turboprop version rather than the Wasp engined version. I've not seen any myself on my travels.

Very very limited.as Gary says it was the TP Super Guppy and 201 which sported the main variety of liveries and there were a handful of airframes unlike the earlier version which were a series of one offs. *-)

Cheers fellas. Wasn't sure regarding the Model variants but was hoping one may have been done to replicate the aircraft so often seen in the UK in the 1980's. :((

I'll stick with the NASA one then. :agree:

HI Eddie :hello:

Those were Guppy 201 and were very, very, different to the model.

Hi Garry

Learnt that now.

Make believe liveries ain't my thing at all but I still hoped that someone had done it. Seeing as there are Qantas and CP Air available for the cruiser! :worried:

They do look daft!

A skylink guppy would have been nice and far more believable than the cruiser livieries mentioned above

One if the rare occasions I would have tolerated it. :hide:

Indeed. As always very good informative answers and good to remember for future reference.
