No problems seeing the main page - http://www.btinternet.com/~rick.piper/ some of the sub-pages have missing images but all links work.

Hi Guys

very wierd

My Website is unobtainable from here and windows live mail won't get my btinternet mail (i have to use Yahoo to get it)

both stopped working at 5AM Thursday gone.

no idea what happened as i was asleep in bed and 5 AM was last e mail that arrived.

Can't find anything amiss here and every other site works

and my firewall has no BT items listed to block! so i'm lost

Regards
Rick

Yo Rick :hello:

I've had probs with my btinternet mail over the last week.. kept getting a POP3, no address found error 8) Everything else worked ok.. just couldn't get into my BT account. I tried resetting the router and got in once. Second time, the reset didn't work so I tried looking online. Couldn't remember my bt account password and clicking on the bt page to retrieve it brought up a page not found error.. hardly surprising as I couldn't get at my mail 8) Even tried changing the POP3/SMTP address from openworld to btinternet and that worked ONCE! Been ok the last couple of days but it's odd because I've not had a problem in all the years I've been with them *-)

Hi Dave

Sounds identical to the problem i am still having

Spoke to "Bangalore Telephones" (BT) and they said there is no problem :hide:

Please can you give me the port numbers Dave ?

i have 587 out & 110 in which i think is correct for Btinternet/openworld.com

Rick

Hi Rick :hello:

That's pretty much the error I was getting both through MailwasherPro and from OE itself. I'm still on WinXP SP3 here and I honestly don't know if the port numbers have changed with the newer OS's but I'm on SMTP/Out.. 25 and in 110. BT are getting rid of the BTYahoo mail and explorer sometime now which I thought might be a reason they were farting around. I don't use either so it's never been and won't be a problem for me. Losing my main bt mail WOULD be a problem but as I say.. it's been stable the last couple of days. Not so last week mind you 8)
Oh, quickly.. I use OE.. don't think I said that. Port settings might be different for Outlook or whatever it's now called and on a different OS.
