Tyne Powered Edsel

Post by Garry Russell »

Trying to get back into things this week

A gallery post as there is nothing new to report modelleing wise.....yet ...... but I've been pulling the bit's together and trying to get all the programmes running properly..but I still have bugs.

Anyway, I've been up getting re used to handling the beast with three engine circuits and max load take offs.

I did a touch and go at Alderney

Then landed at Gurnesey and taking off on GCI's 4,800 ft runway I used about 4,700 feet :worried:

I was busy creating laundry with the CL-44 up at Alderney, no so much a touch and go, more of a bump and dump...... :$

Only ever seen one in the flesh.

EI-BGO at Dublin in 1986. It was parked up in a derelict state minus several vital organs.

Never forget seeing that as a youngster.

Hi Eddie

There were only ever four 'J's.......all converted from D4 and one of them was lost in Colombia.

I used to see them overfly...D4 mainly often N121AE and once I saw a J.......Aer Turas.....the same one as you saw at Dublin

The only one I ever saw on the ground was the Guppy at LHR, only ever saw a Britannia once on the ground and that was G-ANCC at Gatwick in 1968 :(
