Hi Dave, Peter -
I remember years back, in the VF Forum, ananda (George) had created a similar trench off the West of Scotland, following the 6W meridian. It turned out to be related to some in-flight refuelling AI that George had set up.
Does the 'Hermes' trench stop at 180E (or W) ?

I figured as Hermes was the only remaining bit of scenery (bar the odd exclude for Situk) that it might be to blame but oddly enough.. I'd never seen it before. I have the full (old) install on my old pc so will go back and see if I've been blind all these years. I might even let you know if I have been!

Dunno about that Mike but I'll check ;)

Indeed...Jonesey and I set up a small freighting business at the far end of the GA apron...It is operated by Budgies and Dash 8s :)

Might have known.... the bootlegging seems to have went 'big time' ;)

As for the rumors of several new pot stills being installed at PAMA, I'm unable to comment on what may, or may not go on inside the "freight hanger"...

Well.. just been onto the old pc and yes.. that odd ridge/gorge is present though not as defined. I have my standard vis set to 20nm so it's relatively easy to miss.. especially as it doesn't actually appear until you get close then.. like the parting of the Red Sea.. it appears and goes on.. and on.. a bit like this post  I didn't follow it to it's end Mike but it was still visible at 647nm from PAMA and around the 123W mark :)

Are you sure it was Ark to blame Dave, not Peter and Jonesey experimenting with new brews in the hangar ;)

I'm not sure of anything mate. I could well be a secret bootlegging route keeping the aircraft well off radar for the most part  Think I'll send a shore party to PAMA with axes to do the necessary ;)
