Picking up on the comment Dennis made.. the 3 gauges you list should go into the main gauges folder PLUS.. there should be a folder in the gauges folder named simshed which contains the file Nimrod_smoke.xml. I know folk are dubious about using installers.. especially with older software. Can you check to see if there's a simshed folder in the main gauges folder and that it contains the file Nimrod_smoke.xml

Now that interesting as I don't have a simshed folder, or a nimrod_smoke.xml & the smoke works OK
Same here, no Simshed folder in the gauges folder, no nimrod_smoke.xml but it all works perfectly all gauges in the cockpit working, smoke when I push the noise maker lever forward.
PS. The only install I did was the initial installer released on the day followed immediately by the patch as I didn't install it until the patch was released.

Sorry Dave,
There is no Simshed folder in gauges.
In fact, I installed to a dummy folder so still have everything as installed.
No.. as I wrote in the last para of my last post, that folder is an artifact of an old beta (beta 2 by my reckoning) and has no impact on you seeing smoke or not. Having read DG's post, I deleted the folder and checked the Nimrod again and smoke remains. Just for info.. my system spec is:
