What if CBFS had a specific livery?

Post by tango234 »

I'm not saying it needs one-no Sir! The real life paint schemes are far better.

But I'm afraid I let my imagination run a little wild, and I think they look quite smart myself

Its actually the JBAI VC-10 and the ARNZ-AI Concorde, since I have next to no painting ability, but nevermind

And no, I'm not intending to release these, because I highly doubt I'd get permission, and also because the VA uses user aircraft, not ai ones ;)

Admins, feel free to delete this if it unintentionally breaches copyright :hide:

My only issue is...

Almost thirty years ago I attended art college where I specialised in precision scale modelmaking. Part of the course was a module in graphics and design, including typefaces, printing, etc....even back then the use of fonts with serif was considered old-fashioned and frowned upon...

...and I'm still twitching

I know, which is why I said "what if" rather than "CBFS should" have one. And to be honest I agree with you.

Good grief.. I had a funny turn then!

In the privacy of ones own hangar.. the same rules do not apply ;)

This is my private VA Lancastrian which lives at the airport in Guernesy. I don't fly it often as it costs an arm and a leg to operate

If the two paints I did above weren't the first two paints I've ever done, they'd probably be a little better... :'(

Don't worry about Garry Tom. He's a stickler for accuracy which in our business is invaluable ;) My paint isn't trying to be anything and as the aircraft is my private transport, I didn't want to take a 'real' registration as we use those for real paints. That particular reg is made up from my wifes initials and mine (ahh) and was free and not real so I took it :cpu: The paint is loosely British South American Airways and uses the same fonts as the ones I did for the VA. There was no 'Star Man'.. none wore the Guernsey crest (to the best of my knowledge) or the civil air flag on the fins. Put bluntly.. it seemed like a good idea at the time
