Not one to play kill'm games.... the aircraft cockpit detail in this screenie I grabbed from the video
almost makes it worth while having my arse shot at just to have a good look around in there.

CFS was a lot of fun wasn't it? If you couldn't shoot down your opponent you could always just dive down onto the deck and let him chase you around a bit...he'd eventually plow himself into the ground trying to get at you. An excellent video by the way!!DaveB wrote:Seeing models fish tail like that brings back memories of CFS.. a smashing sim despite the bugs

Oleg did mightily well with the old IL2 series, and this video is a nice appetizer for his new Battle of Britain sim which comes out next month.

Sadly my P4 300 and GForce 780GS with 2 GB RAM is far too low to contemplate buying it
Oh well, back to commercial flying I suppose.
Late Edit: Will be released for XBox 360 so not going to lose out after all. Now just need to get myself a proper joystick for it!!
Nigel.

Indeed Peter. Have a look at this recent screenshot; notice how the self-shadowing falls across the Blenheim observer's back and follows the contours of his parachute harness webbing and the collar of his lifejacket. Just incredible!petermcleland wrote: Well in that case I will just HAVE to buy it

I notice also that the engines are shutdown.. no RPM, no boost, no oil pressure, no airspeed and no altitude. Impressive shadowing though

Cheers Colin..
I looked at the shadowing and then looked at the instruments.. as you do.. at least I do and there they are.. dead. I'd like to think that a 'latest' screenie of a sim being pushed as realistic was a little less staged Good shadowing though
If getting out more means not staying in to fly models with non-functioning instruments, I think I will
