Didn't Grab 'The Hammer' In Time...

...and I'm glad I didn't. :) The Cessna Bird Dog from Sibwings. For FSX only. Comes with a wheeled version as well as a floater. A really nice stick and rudder aircraft. It'll cost you only 25 Euro...and membership in the RCAF judging by the pilots' flightsuit.

It's a super model and now comes as an amphibian (free update at Sibwings) and is very kind on FR's too!

I'm thinking I should have used the term "floatplane" instead of "floater". I guess the author George Bernard Shaw was correct when he said that England and the US are "Two peoples separated by a common language."

No.. that's not what I meant although I can see why you might have thought that. ;) Tiddlers like this (I have the freeware L2 Grasshopper installed somewhere) usually have super short field performance and while they don't literally takeoff when turned into wind.. it doesn't take much throttle before they unstick

First aircraft model I ever built.

Just found out recently one is owned and flown locally (about 29 secs in):

Wow, I completely misread that one.  Yes Dave, she'll definitely get airborne in a hurry with a wind. Today the wind here is 18 kts with gusts of 25. I was able to coax the Bird Dog into the air in less than 200 ft. :)
