I've just learned his ( supposed. ) body was dumped into the ocean.

According to the sources I heard and read, there was photographic evidence taken (have to take a photograph for facial recognition to work anyway) in addition to DNA evidence to confirm the identity, so I'm sure we'll see something before long.
