just purchased Alderney and FS Trees Vol1 for FSX.
Is there any way to backup the scenery without the need to backup the whole computer?
I like to download and backup to CD-ROM but the Earthsimulation software has tied my into downloading and registering from the their website.

You might like to ask Darren at the Earthsimulations forums 
The point about the Earthsimulations installer is that you can re-download the products and product keys at any time, I've done this myself after HD crashes.
They are payware developers and are protecting their product.....
