In Hamburg, Germany, fans of the model are used to make a date to Miniature Wunderland, an exhibition space in which to admire the scale reconstruction of the world's largest railway station. To this was added a few days before the record-model of an airport that has a real name - the Knuffingen Airport - but in reality is just the real inspiration of Hamburg.
The project cost is exorbitant: small buildings, the models aircraft (40 in all taking off in earnest) and the classic cars of an international airport service are worth about $ 5 million. To build all it took seven years of work.
I think it forms part of the Miniatur-Wonderland in Hamburg.
I've already seen much about that on German TV, "Knuffingen" is a virtual town there, also famous for its fire brigade.
"Knuffig" in German means "cute", "sweet"...
