Hello Tonks

Great views there ,thanks for posting,

So how did they think it went, no problems?

Cheers,

Roger.

That Airbus is seriously ugly. No doubt very functional but not as elegant as a VC-10. Will there be any VC-10s at airshows in the second week of August? I'll be visiting the UK then.

Thanks Tonks. Very ironic using the ancient with the brand new: I thought it would have been more appropriate to use the new A330...(Voyager is it?) Two of which I have seen at Boscombe Down last week on the ground in full RAF livery... though having said that, they're probably not ready for such trials yet.

Still, nice that the two should meet...they might not get another chance.

Any idea when the 'Atlas' is due in service?

I am  ... thats me in the opening shot and then several times after :hide:

Charlie wasn't with us...

Chris... not sure when Atlas is in... few years yet. The two A330s at Bosc are doing trials work with Airbus. The first one is in RAF service in late Oct this year.

Tonks :)

Ah right! I see the name 'Tonks' on your velcro-name-pad-whotsit now! I thought you were supposed to have your proper name on those ..?

Did any of our French 'friends' call you Monsieur Tonks, in the mistaken assumption that that was your real name ? ;)

 There are many folks who don't know my real name as I have been known as Tonks for donkey's!! It goes through phases with name badges, but I have had my nickname on mine for a good while.

I remember we had a visit from an Admiral when I was in flying training, much panic all round including the direction to certain individuals to make sure they had name badges with their actual given names on. Strangely no one twigged Bing isn't my given name so I wasn't told to. Handy really, I still haven't got any badges with my real name on.

I was busy elsewhere I think (in fact, I was down south I think). :)

Toby: to answer your question, I suspect not, unless the world changes significantly by then. We're all a bit busy! :)
