Well, what I think is ...

If the film was a dogumentary then one would be entitled to expect it to be historically accurate and maintain dogged attention to detail ;)

However, if it's a 'movie' then it's job is to entertain as many people as possible. Investors in the film company will expect the producer to deliver a return on their investment and bums on seats is the main purpose. Offending a large part of the potential market wouldn't seem like a very clever move. It's a clear case of the tail wagging the dog.

And Fry has still got to write a scene where Kate Winslet (or similar) gets her boobies out. I hope you lot aren't going to disallow that just because it didn't happen!

Ian :)

There's a fundamental problem there. Fry wouldn't be entertained by that so he wouldn't write it. And unfortunately for you, I'm in engineering, not screenplay.

Flt Lt Guy Gibson was a Beaufighter pilot at one point early in the war. :) Any excuse!

Garry - I don't think I had seen your comment when I posted mine, but yes, let's hope its not starring Arthur Bostrom if Fry is writing what you say!
