ooooh...Temper Temper!!!!!
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

Hi,
Good on him, talk about red tape!!
If what happened in the report is true why did'nt ground crew go out in a van and catch the phone from him when he dropped it out of the window? job solved!! Obviously common sense did'nt prevail!
I can understand why he got the Hump
Cheers,
Roger.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

Re: ooooh...Temper Temper!!!!!
I'm with the pilot on this one...easiest solution for someone to go get it....they wouldn't, so he got rid of it.
I can just imagine if he had turned back to the gate and suffered a slot delay they'd be saying...why couldn't he just open the window and throw it out for someone to pick up??
Damned if you do, damned if you don't
I don't know why this is national news either....silly

Can anyone remember a day when someones property would hav been thought as an accidental left behind and would have been looked after untill the rightful owner would have been found instead of treated as as some sort of threat?
What a sad state of affair we live in today.
This sounds like a case of "hot potato."

What risk would that be? No good deed goes unpunished, or damned if you do damned if you don't.
