Chinese Premier Visit

Post by Kevin Farnell »

I was back in my beloved West Midlands on Saturday, and found time to watch the arrival of the Chinese Prime Minister onboard Boeing 747-400P B-2472.
A selection of my photos are available at the following -

Along with a few others.

Regards

Kevin

Cheers Paul,

I'd been up to see my Dad, who's recovering form illness and the oportunity to stop off at BHX (EGBB) to see a rare visitor was too much to resist.
I bought some sandwiches, a drink and an aviation magazine. Sat there in the car awaiting the 19.30 arrival, whilst photographing most aircraft on approach to runway 33.
Whilst I had to delete quite a few photos due to camera shake, I'm delighted with those that came out.

Regards

Kevin

PS will you be at Duxford on the 8th July? I've booked the day off, to see rhe arrivals/practice for Flying Legands - would be good to say 'hello'.

Right now I can't say. I've invited a friend down from Yorkshire for the weekend, but he'll be coming down on the Friday by train, and it might not be possible to get to Duxford on that day. If he gets here early enough, then yes...also, if he cant make it, then yes again. I'll let you know.

No probs, Paul
I'll be there on the 8th and one of the show days, along with one of my fellow members of the Willingham Photo club (weather permitting).

Hi Simondix

I assume you're asking for the location at Birmingham that the photos were taken. If so, in the long stay car park at th highest point overlooking the approach of Runway 33 (cost a fortune, £14 or 4 hours :-O ).
As for the show, I'm not sure which day yet that I'll attend - may well depend on the weather.

Regards
