It's definitely entertaining isn't it Roger? I thought I'd put it to the test using "Fatty" Arbuckle, a silent film actor/comedian here in the US in the 1920's. The crazy thing guessed it in about 14 guesses.
It solved everything I threw at it (and I tried to be obscure, it even got Douglas Bader right in less than 20 goes) but my wife got it stumped. Possibly because when it asked 'Is your character American' she said no as he was born in Canada but he has since adopted American citizenship too. It gave her another Canadian hockey player instead.
Having played with it on and off during the afternoon I finally got it stumped (pun intended) when it failed to find my character. It finally came up with a list of about 30 names and asked me if it was one of those, if not then I could add the name to the database. It wasn't there so I added it.
Amusing - got the obvious ones like Churchill, Lennon, Elgar easily but then Katy Kay came on the news so I tried her and Akinator was stumped.

Tried again with Fiona Bruce and Akinator got her very quickly! She happens to be my third cousin, one time removed, although I am certain she has no clue about that. I discovered that a few months ago when I was researching my ancestry. She even did a televison show (Who Do You Think You Are) on William Crouch, one of our common ancestors who was a bit of a rogue.
