Saw a Catalina flying low in the direction of Coningsby this afternoon. Only saw it from the rear, so nationality etc unknown.
Anyone know owt about it?

It was at the Sunderland Airshow last weekend.
About 5 years ago at the same show, it landed in the sea off Seaburn beach.

Wasn't quite quick enough outside, what with grabbing the camera, too:

Not as noisy as the C-47 that often flies around from the BoBMF, and very much quieter than this chap, who stopped to check his maps, I guess, over my back garden two weeks ago:

When I told my neighbour he'd be checking his map having reached the edge of town, she found it hilarious - thought I was joking!
