thanks for the replies. I've got pretty much all of the suggestions so I guess i'm on the right track already to the perfect sim.
REX is temporarily off my system. My download link has expired and not been able to ressurect it. As you cannot back up REX, you have to download it each time you re-install I find this a mjor pain.
Anyone know where I can get a boxed version 2.0?
Thanks,
Ted.
You shouldn't have to download each time you reinstall. I've got my REX2 downloads backed up to disc for reinstall. These are all the files you download and run. I think the only thing you have to be through with is the uninstall (if you need to uninstall it first).
I would just re-run that if I had to. although I might check my download link to see if it's a newer version first (then download and back that up to disc as well) I've got everything patched up and Overdrive installed and saved to another disc.
Have you tried re-installing REX? I have the REX files but they just don't work.
My installer just tries to go off to the web and re-download (except my links bust so I can't).
I'm pretty sure you have to re-download each time but happy to be proved wrong.
Something to do with their security. Dunno?
I installed my Rex using those files, the initial download was a single file if I recall correctly which unwrapped to those.
Just doesn't make sense to me or bandwidth to insist on downloading 3.06GB of data for a reinstall. Especially if people have limited bandwidth, restrictions or slow connections.

I have reinstalled it once, about three months ago when I wiped my D drive. No problems as far as I recall. I certainly did not have to download it again.
Here it is on my Seagate external HD, all 4.07 Gb of it
Will do. I'm at the dusty filler stage at present as soon as it's ready for some undercoat, err I mean primer, I'll post some pics.
My first resin and I must say somewhat easier to build (in some respects, I miss my locator pins) than an injection as the resin is easier to sand.
