Failure to download Beverly files from Britsim.com
Hi
I was not sure which part of our forum I should place this HU.
This evening I found it impossible to download any of the Beverly Files from Britsim.com.
Are these files available elsewhere?
I see from that site's forum that Britsim has been suffering intermittent and inexplicable download failures recently. I hope that progress can be made in solving that problem.

Re: Failure to download Beverly files from Britsim.com
There is a program mentioned in some of the forums on Britsim that can cope with partial downloads, but I find it best if one tries at a different time of day when some of the North American nodes are asleep. It seems to be a 'busy link' problem between you & the server.

Re: Failure to download Beverly files from Britsim.com
I have tried once again to download the Beverly files, this time outside US operating times. Just as unsuccessful as on the first occasion.
Attempted to join the Britsm website this morning but was only partially successful because no confirmatory email has yet arrived, time noe 17:37 Hrs BST.
Patience,I am told, is a virtue!

Try posting a request to Leif over at Britsim, he might be able to upload elsewhere for you.

Flightsim.com has the bare bones of this a/c in 3 parts. But you have to spell it correctly in the search
i.e Beverley.

Re: Failure to download Beverly files from Britsim.com
I have a nice flyable Beverley but it took a bit of work to get there. I think I posted here a couple of years back, describing the whole saga.
First, the FS2002 package does not install the files where it says it will, as a result you do not get the proper file structure of
Aircraftname\
Model
Panel
Sound
Texture
You need to unzip each part into its own temp folder and assemble the plane in another.
Having got the file structure right, apply Rick's FDE update.
You can also get an upgrade of the old 2002 sounds for FS9
Then copy and paste into the FS9\Aircraft folder.
Hope this helps

Re: Failure to download Beverly files from Britsim.com
I've got the Beverley that Rick breathed on. I'm now using FSX and tried to port it over, but although it flies well, some of the instruments don't show. Also, as you can see from the shots, I've found alternate props for FSX but not got any spinners.
