Indeed its always grey and rainy here. In fact I'm thinking of going to Shetland for our beach holiday next year. Much dryer and warmer..!

My grandad on my dad's side was a policeman in Manchester when dad was born in 1927 and he died when dad was only 4 years old.. due in the main to never being able to keep his uniform dry. It was heavy woollen material in those days and although warm, did not offer much by way of rain protection. Once wet, it was a bugger to get dry. So there.. not'a lotta people know that
