Just a thought; my Cabpack.exe is V1.4, where I got it from cannot remember, but it does give one an option to comress it in either MSZIP, or LSX. I normally select MSZIP - is this a cause if one selects LSX, which seems to be the default setting?

I don't have the SDK installed on my machine, so did a search and this is what I used to redo the Cab file:

http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/downlo ... file&id=30

This is the instructions as posted by one of the guys on SimOuthouse:

1. Extract the gauge CAB into a folder with the same name as the CAB file.
2. Place the folder created in step 1 in the same location as your Cabdir.exe file.
3. Drag that same folder and drop it on the Cabdir.exe file which should then create a CAB file with the same name as the original one.

literally takes a minute to do. I did it for the 1-11 and Trident last night and it did the business on those as well. I'm sure someone will understand what's going on, but all I know is it works. My 1-11 is getting some air miles in now :)

This is a great tip, especially for us folk who know no better than FSX. Thanks for finding and linking, Woody71!
