pre-relaese cl-44

Post by valetta »

14 Days ago I had a very nice chat at Brooklands in the Vanguard cockpit about the Vanguard,CL-44 and Heron.Since my return I have downloaded the CL-44 and I think the model is very good. However I have two remarks an a question:
a When I switch off the hydrolic pumps for the tail and freight door they will not come back on and these cannot be operated any more.
b The on/off switches for the INS are inoperative.
c Will the radar be made operative in the final model.Radar equipment was mandatory in US registered aircraft from 1962 so it might be appropiate to have the radar operative.
In the meatime I enjoy flying the CL-44 as well as the Viscounts , Vanguards , VC-10 ,1-11 , Tridents and Comets and I am looking forward to the release of the Heron.
Good luck to all the the developpers.
Valetta.

Hello Valetta and welcome :hello:

It was me you spoke too at Brooklands and I'm glad you've made it here ;) I'm not up to speed on the CL-44 but the chaps who worked on it are all here. I'm sure one of them will be with you soon ;)

It was really nice to have met you and I'm glad you enjoyed your day at Brooklands

Hi Valetta :hello:

Welcome aboard :)

With the hydraulic switches, have you got power on?...either an engine or the GPU?

The OMEGA..is a sort of dummy in as it is not supported by FS but displays current info. It's explained in the manual

With the radar...US law is irrelevant as all CL-44 were built with radar but it will not be incorporated into this model.

Radar would probably have to be a third party programme and I'm not sure if it works properly when it is there. The few models I've seen with it have a display but is it not a true display of what a radar would see just something producing images to look like it's doing something. Certainly there is nothing that will be added to this.

One other small thing

Any further queries on the support thread please
Garry

Hello Garry and Dave,
Thank you for your relpy.About the hydrolic pumps:I have tried to restart them with all power supplies available but they will not come on after switching them off.I have even re-downloaded and installed twice.I have read in the manual the Omega is a dummy but the manual gives the impression the INS will be functional with the appropriate programm installed, which I have. And for the radar:This was merely a suggestion for making an already very goog and realistic flightdeck look even better albeit being a dummy.I wish you all very much succes with your projects and maybe we will meet again at Brooklands.
Greetings,Valetta
