Photo's from Brize Norton
On a trip up the M40 last Thursday( 20/10) I took a detour to Brize on the off chance of see a '10 in action. After about an hour 15 I wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately it took off and disappeared, unlike the C-17. Here are a few pics I took in the two hours I was there. I see they have put up bollards on the verge by the old railway bridge so no parking there now. They were taken with my new Nikon D5100.

Nice shots Paul
If I may be critical (and it's not your fault).. the Nikon seems to over emphasise 'red' a little.. similar in many ways to Sony. Is it something you've noticed or is it just me at this time of night?

Nothing out of the ordinary for a Tristar RB211. At 'lower' ambient temps there is a tendancy for it to overfuel during start. I can't remember the details now and my course notes are in the loft I'm afraid.cstorey wrote:Does anyone know what was happening with the Tristar ?
Dave,
I don't see any excess red but the pics have been processed through Paint Shop ProX2. The orginal photo looks like this
A couple more (with some light tweaking)
Damn fence
I lost the fence here by using the camera upside down
Thanks Andy. I heard those old Conways starting up just as I was thinking of continuing my journey north.

Hiya Paul..
Yes, the 'over bright' red isn't there in the originals so I guess PSP be the culprit
That fence really is a pain in the arse isn't it

Great shots. Thanks for posting. Definately on my list of places to visit.
I suffer from paranoid amnesia. I can't remember who I don't trust.
