FS Recorder

Post by Nigel H-J »

Running Windows 7 and after a long break decided to record some aerobatics using FS Recorder for FS9 using 2 a/c. When I last used it using 2 or more aircraft I could select on playback which a/c to view from by selecting the saved files say areo 1 and then areo 2 as an example in that order or the other way round to select the other a/c i.e. wing man position, but which ever-way I select the saved files using Alt Ctrl I still find myself in the lead a/c and not in the number 2 position as I could before when using XP (if this makes sense). Has any-one else had this problem as it really is frustrating. Any help or advice appreciated.

Kind regards
Nigel.

Nigel, I think there's now a separate option to select which aircraft you view the replay from something like a check box next to each selected track and you tick the one with the aircraft you want to be in. Unfortunately I can't be more specific as it's playing up on my machine at the moment, possibly because I'm using a beta.

Nigel,

I'm still with WindowsXP so I operate as you previously did...I made my Synchro Three video that way.

My wife has Windows7 on her laptop but there is no way that I will be ablt to get FS any where near it

Maybe the author of FS Recorder has issued a new version for Windows7.

Hi Skippy and Peter,

Many thanks for your replies, I think the problem may well be in using the older version with Windows 7, just had a look at their site and may well download the 2 versions they have for FS9, the Beta and the Stable one released last year, will see if the computer at work will allow me access and just hope that I can download as with the Library computers they do not allow this with executable files which is to say a bit frustrating. :(

Again, many thanks for your help.

Kind regards
Nigel.

I'm buying a laptop for my wife, but I intend to "blag" it for the flight sim group sessions!. She agreed!
But i don't think she knows why it costs so much ( got to have a dedicated graphics card etc for FSX, now haven't you? :) )
Ssh! Don't tell her.

The only problem is with this hobby and its hardware, is that when I die I hope she doesn't sell it on the basis of what i told her I paid for it.

Nigel - I've just had a look at the downloads and they're not .exe files. The download is a zip folder containing an installer (.msi). But if you can't download them at the library just let me know and I can do two things. Rename them and post them on my webspace so you can download them and then rename them back to the original or I could just download them on to a CD and post them to you.
