What have we had this year then?
Hi Chaps
Are we all decked out in crimbo jumpers yet?
We decided to go for a 'joint' present this year (though it didn't work out that way ) and the present of choice was a TomTom (thanks to Ian for his advice ). First problem came when I took it out of the box and wound it up for the first time. It lasted about a min before the battery gave in No problem though.. being a clever chap, I got a charger for it. Tried to plug the charger in and it's the wrong one (the connector is too big)! First email of the year sent to Amazon! I have it plugged into a USB port on the pc so it's charging up off that
Anyone had anything 'off the wall'?

The Haynes Manual for the Millenium Falcon! I didn't even know it existed! What a clever little missus! Very impressed.

New camera here
the lens zoom is great! 28-840mm
This was taken with the lens at 56mm , which is pretty close to what the eye sees without the peripheral.
at 840mm
cropped out about 30% of same.. ?
back down on earth now..
taken at about 650mm
and all hand held.
I was working on a post to give a better review.
Over all. ... I like - I keep.

Worked Christmas Eve and am working today. I'll have to wait until my next day off to see what Santa brought me.

A whole week with my lad, picked him up this afternoon
The look on his face when he discovered the xbox, two controllers and games was priceless
I got a rather nice VW camper mug
