A good Airbus A300?

Post by Anders Nielsen »

Hi,

I´m in the market for a good A300. Have anyone in here any experience with the one from Simcheck?
http://www.simchecksoftware.com

Are there any good freeware available - FS9 or FSX ?

Best Regards,
Anders

Have you looked at the CLS A300 my understanding is it's pretty good.

Also, freeware side, you have the Erick Cantu/SGA A300 originally done for FS2002 but updated for FS2004 and the Benoit GAURANT panels that are excellent.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the tip. I found what I looked for in Erick Cantu and Benoit Gaurant´s models and panel.

Best regards,
Anders

I have problems with some of the gauges in this panel for some reason.
I run Windows 7 and have tried running the suggested resolution but no joy. This is the latest version 3.2 but the earlier versions still give the same problem.
Does any one else have this problem?

I have highlighted some of the ares with green boxes.

Hi Cowpatz,

Mine looks exactly like yours, but only in full screen view, not in windowed mode, that can be adjusted to look narrower, so that the guages actually are round, not oval. My screen is a 22" 1920x1080 wide screen, and I suspect that this SGA add-on was developed back in the days when we not had wide screen monitors. Hence, we might see such phenomena using WS monitors. I don´t know if there is a fix for that. And yes, I also have Windows 7/64 bit.
By the way, my version is 3.0 full package including aircraft and panel. Where did you find the 3.2?

Best Regards,
Anders

Hi Garry and Cowpatz,

Maybe I was not clear in my answer. I both get the oval guages as well as the corrupt displays shown in Cowpatz´s post. So when I go into the windowed view, everything returns to normal, including the corrupt displays.

BR,
Anders
