"Saunton Sands, featured in the video of an RAF Hercules landing and taking off from a beach, is just 'round the corner' from RMB Chivenor to the northwest. In my FS9 setup the tide will never retreat so it is not possible to practice tactical landings/take offs. The picture shows an AOP 11 flying south along the coast near to Saunton.
Beach circuits and bumps in a loaded Hercules can be practiced using the Scotflight scenery which includes Barra. Mind the tide post at the seaward end of the longest runway!"
