Real weather going crazy

Post by WhisperJet »

Gents,

I recently boarded G-AXLL for an FS9 flight from Stockholm Arlanda to Milan Malpensa via St. Petersburg Pulkovo. I chose real weather, date was set April and took off in Arlanda at 12 deg Celsius, moderate wind, light rain. Approaching Pulkovo I suddenly noticed a massive increase in outside temperature below 10.000ft, reaching 40 deg C around 5.000 ft and after landing (quite a challenge not cooking the engines) the temp gauge read 55 deg C... :-O

This doesn't make sense at all and never happened before - although I always fly real weather -
Any ideas how that explains? Anyone experienced a similar phenomenon?

Ah yes, and the flight to Malpensa was cancelled, a/c still sits in Pulkovo... :hide:

Cheers,

Nick

Nick,

Not seen the temperature change you mentioned but have found uncontrollable gusting on occasions when embarking a previously saved flight with real weather. It's usually corrected by reloading the real weather (with 15 min updates).

Hi Degsy,

thanks for dropping a line - :)
it's not so much a problem as you can always change weather settings during the flight.
It was more something that astounded me - so I thought someone here might have an explanantion...

Many thanks,

Nick
