Hi Eric :hello:

I'm not sure what foul work is afoot here but I'm seeing the Varsity ASI working fine mate.. fine in the Viking that is. Checking the needles with Shift+Z (I think it's Z innit.. the red text line across the top of the screen) and it's bang on. As for size and position, try this in your panel.cfg.. gaugeXX=Varsity_T1!Airspeed, 407,463,61,61

If that's still out, put my darkened BMP in place and I'll send you my panel.cfg. If it aint lining up then.. either you or I have a very odd monitor setup

Dave,I didn't explain myself very well when I mentioned the misalignment. When I said clock I meant clock as in tick tock!
Sorry about that, hope it hasn't sent you on a wild goose chase.I'll have a go at both Varsity and Viking tomorrow to check the ASIs,and yes you are correct in that the Viking RMI card can be turned. Thanks for looking today but please don't' put yourself out too much,it's not that important.Best wishes EricT :)

Hey.. don't worry Eric. We're all guilty of looking at stuff until it becomes invisible and/or we accept it even though we know something should be done about it ;) I really can't get my head around why the RMI isn't working.. or any other RMI I put in it's place. These are all FS2002 coded gauges which doesn't help :( The ASI looks ok. The standard clock is a bugger and never tells the right time for me.. well, the fingers don't.. mouselook does 8) I dread opening the panel up in FS Panel Studio as invarably, some gauges mysteriously move when I hit the save button. It's all character building stuff but add's to the fun of the Viking

I dearly wish Sav were still here and among us.. I know he'd sort these things out in a jiff :( In the meantime, you have ME and I'm not much cop :wall:

Dave,

Can you post a photo of the panel you just uploaded? I fly the Viking and Valetta pretty regularly, and I'd like to see what you changed before I install it.

Thanks.

Now this thread brought back a memory......
15th September 2011:[quote="Airspeed"]Hi All,
Sorry if this isn't the right spot to ask, but I'm new to this site, though I've been simming since FS was sold on 3 1/2" disks.
I merrily downloaded the Viking, Varsity and Valetta, but something is wrong. They are beautifully presented, but the Varsity is the only one whose engines will start for me in FS2004.The Viking port prop spins for several seconds, then stops. The Valetta port prop rotates about 5 degrees after releasing the starter.........etc

Ah yes.. I seem to remember that too now I've been given a prod

Art.. it's the same panel. All I've done is taken the blue 'hue' off it a little. The panel should be black in reality and that's all I've tried to achieve :) You should be able to look at it by double clicking but if you're not sure.. rename the original and look at the 'blacker' one in sim :)

Hi Dave,

I changed the panel lighting shortly after I installed the Viking and Valetta, so I'll stick with what I've got. Thanks for your reply.
