Re: Virtual Airline
Hi Tom..
Yes, we have our own VA which is part of what is now quite a large organisation. All the detail you need is down in the VA forum areas but briefly.. you go to www.fsairlines.net and register there first. Once registered, you then apply to the airline you want to join.. in this case Classic British Flight Services. David Maltby is our current 'in the chair' CEO and when you apply to us, he'll send you a joining letter asking you to register as a pilot down in the VA (New recruits post here). You must download the VA sofware from FSA and when ready, ask for a training type rating for the aircraft of your choice.
You will be allocated a training rating and on completion of the requisite number of flights, a full rating on the type will be given. We then ask that you do at least 10 'fare making' flights on this type before requesting another. New ratings (ones gained after your first) require 4 training flights to be done then a further 10 'fare making' flights before requesting another new rating.. and on it goes. You don't have to do 'only' 10 flights and you don't have to fill your logbook with all the aircraft in our fleet. The choice is yours
An ABC guide is down there (on the VA forums) and will dot any i's and cross any t's but if there's anything you wish to know.. fire a question off in the Crew Room forum and one of us will be with you in short order
