jagged edges to aircaft in fs9

Post by kingt »

I have a problem with the graphics in FS9,the outlines to the aircraft and scenery are
jagged, instead of clear, they were O,K but I had to reinstall FS9,and since then I have
had this problem,I am no expert with computers,so I am not sure what to do,to enable
me to regain sharp features to FS9,any help I can get will be appreciated,is there a
simple solution/tweak I can proform without getting to complicated?
Regards Kingt.

This sounds like you have Anti Alias turned off

Check you setting and see if the box is ticked.

Some setups are better off in the game and on in the card others the opposite

But it needs to be on somewhere

Gary, thank you for your prompt answer, but the Anti Alias box is ticked,so the problem
is most likely something else,it would be nice to regain sharp images again.

Are you in full screen mode?...AA in the game doesn't work in windowed mode

Failing that try turning it off in the game an on at the in the card. *-)

We'll get you there ;)

I'm taking your lack of knowledge at face value, so this is a very basic suggestion:
Has FS9 set low resolution defaults due to its interpretation of your computer's abilities?
Cranking resolution up shouldn't stop your machine in its tracks unless it's very challenged.
It's a quick thing to check, and could eliminate more intricate tweaking. ;)

Ah..that's a point Mike

Kingt...have you set the resolution to match your monitor or are you using it as loaded?

The answer to this sort of problem is usually very basic, that is why it's so often missed as we all tend to look above that level. :worried:
