Soon-ish from Flying Stations

Post by SkippyBing »

Due to a couple of power supply failures earlier in the month I couldn't access the latest copies of the Bucc S2 and Victorious models so I turned to something else for a bit of a change.

Cockpit shot below, first person to post the aircraft type on the Flying Stations forum http://z13.invisionfree.com/Flying_Stat ... wtopic=259 gets a free copy when it's released, which should be sometime soon so I can go back to modelling the new autopilot and radio in the S2 and figure out how the wings fold on the Firefly...

Well.. nothing in my list of Naval Aircraft (of the British variety) has a small RH window like that so I'm at a loss  I was moving toward an Albacore.. Barracuda.. something pretty like either of those

Ahh, oddly I have plans for both of those Dave, but no!

Bridon was the first correct guess with the Percival Mew Gull, actually G-AEXF, seen here sat on the ground after a 6 hour test flight from London to Oran to see if the fuel consumption etc. was working out right, and if my dead reckoning nav was any good. I mean I did cheat and install a simple autopilot so I didn't need my hand on the stick for six hours but I did manage to completely miss the Balearics as I drained the wrong wing tank first...

Turning finals at Gao as dusk settles over Mali at the end of the second leg in the London-Cape Town flight. More shots over at our forum http://z13.invisionfree.com/Flying_Stat ... ry22020100, looking good for a release in the near future.
