That's very much it mate. Buying into the sim at this point (as you rightly say, in Alpha).. you get access to various tools and updates when they arrive so for a developer.. the perfect place to be. The basics are there.. the world mapped as it should be and an alternative to DX9/10. I've always found OpenGL to run better than DX though it has to be said, the areas of operation have been much smaller than you might find with a DX program like FS. Early days and it looks promising but we'll have to see where it goes from here ;)

The claim is for ground level to space in detail.

We know this is possible...given the processing ability but unless some really new slick method is found to drive all that few will get the full potential.

But it is a good start and general PC's are getting more powerful so very much a case of watch this space. :)

If nothing else, this does show along with other recent events that the Flight Sim World is buoyant and very active, but sadly they lack a Vanguard :'( :lol:
