With less than three months left of its two-year warranty, my X-52 Pro stick's trigger switch developed an intermittent fault. Sometimes it would work, sometimes not.
I rang the support line, got a support ticket number, scanned the receipt ( a hand-written one from the Saitek stall at Duxford's September airshow in 2010 ) and received approval to return it for repair.
That was ten days ago. Today I received not a repaired stick, but a completely brand new system...stick, throttle, cable, suction feet, manual and software CD.
Saitek have suffered some bad press as far as the durability of their products is concerned; whether that is justified or not, in my case they have honoured their guarantee overwhelmingly.
Thank you Saitek

Aint it ? Midst the doom and gloom, a washout summer and washed out currency, we need to spread the joy ! Seriously though, I am rather pleased with Saitek on this occasion.DaveB wrote:Always good to read a nice story like this Paul

Re: Thank you Saitek
Hi Paul,
that's correct with regard to the durability of their products, i have the X52 and the pedals too. The stick is very prone to faults as the wires (if you call them wires as they are hair width) get cut by the metal pole inside the stick.
My rudder pedals have the stiffener gone...

Re: Thank you Saitek
I have a Saitek switch panel which had a faulty ignition switch on arrival.
So I pulled off the switch, fixed the problem, repaired the switch and then informed Saitek of the problem (too much glue jamming up the pot).
Saitek were not interested at all. Not even a thank you.
I also have a Saitek Yoke and two Throttle Quadrants and they work perfectly.
