I thought you might enjoy some photos of this morning's second post-restoration flight of Hawker Fury K5674 from Goodwood.
Enjoying the sunshine at Goodwood
Sir Fred Rosier's son David in front of his father's aeroplane.
The 'office'.
David Rosier hands his father's log book to Charlie Brown to be carried on the flight. (A nice touch this!)
Getting ready to start.
Strapping in.
Final checks.
Ready to go.
Airborne!
I've also got a reasonable video of the engine start which I'll try and upload to YouTube and post a link here. I did also video the take-off but with rather disappointing results so I probably won't put that up.
The problem was entirely of my own making - what sort of idiot uses new and untried equipment for something important? Operating near maximum zoom, the slightest movement of the lens is magnified many times and when you add panning for the actual take-off run, you get the problems you see on the film. I did zoom out a little to try to mitigate this effect but clearly not enough. I'm off to practice with the camera!

Me! I bought a Canon Digicam (dvd) recorder to film a Vanguard engine run from the inside without having tried it. One lot of vid is as I wanted and the second is sorta widescreen. I've no idea what I did but I wasn't best pleased
Tks for posting it mate. Charlie made it look so easy
