Britannia at 60!

60 years ago yesterday (16th - I know, I'm a day late!) the majestic Bristol Britannia (or 'Whispering Giant') made its first flight at Filton.

Surely the most elegant of propliners, I never saw one fly, but got to know of it at an early age, thanks to the BBC TV serial: Buccaneer.
