As far as endurance goes,I flew as a passenger from East Mids(EGNX) to Ibiza in 1980 and am still here to tell the tale. The distance must be something similar! EricT
Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!
As loaded (default) the 500 comes with 7257kg of payload and around 11119.00kg of fuel give or take. With high level routing, I reckon on 790.7nm and my figures are showing 6119.5kg required.. roughly speaking. This means that straight out of the box.. a 500 will get you there with more than a reasonable amount of fuel left to go sightseeing
In the 1960s the Laker 1-11s regularly did Gatick - Tenerife non stop , only requiring an intermediate stop if either the winds were strange or it was very hot at Tenerife

This was on the books at BIA for the 400s only, restricted to 60 pax. Favoured bolthole was Faro and indeed the only time I recall it operating it did go into FAO.
