No worries Dave, used to do a lot of cross wind landings during my gliding and light a/c flying days back in the early 70's but somehow with FS....never found it to replicate it closely enough!!!!

To obtain the best and "dramatic" angle on the aircraft I put the camera to the rear whereas on watching the 748 landing taken from the side of the runway it does not give as much depth to the track of the a/c which appears to be landing 'straight' with the centre line instead of at 45deg. 8)

Oh well, perhaps I'll just stick to 'into wind' landings after all!!

Nigel.

Pants.. I don't have Silverlight :| Not that I don't want it, I didn't know what it was when offered so refused the update

Nige.. yes, it's the old 'it's not real' thing isn't it. Clever as all these sims are, they still aren't real ;) They're great landings btw and much better than my attempt a few weeks ago. When I migrated to this pc, I never installed FlyTampa HK so I dug it off one of my old drives, installed it, tried a couple of approaches then gave up and went sight seeing instead

Hi Dave and Ben :hello:

Found the problem!!!! :wall: :hide:

It was the way I had set up the rudders with the foot pedals sensitivity set up wrong along with full null zone applied!! they were only working properly when full rudder given and I just thought it was the foot pedals!!!! :wasntme: :help: Had I found out earlier then you would have got that swing just before touchdown!! Tried it again at Kai Tak and it was much much better but then again, the landings would not have been so interesting. Oh well, you live and learn.... but given me age!!!!!!!!!!! :worried:

Regards
Nigel
