Hi Sam, welcome!

I wouldnt say i dont find it unsatifactory, more so so at the moment. Dont get me wrong i like it over just my UTX install as that was a landclass and roads etc where as the ORBX i feel is more and it deffinatly makes my England look much better. But, yes theres a but, there is things that need attention, for instance the Green Beaches at Donna Nook and around the Wash. I would also point out that the River around my old home town of Wainfleet is missing, there are little strips of the northen part however the southern part is missing, the roads however do look to be correct though.

Is there any plans for Wales and Scotland as this would complete the UK very nicely?

Hey Guys!

Cheers for the Friendly Replies! Much appreciated!

The green beaches you guys are seeing is our representation of algae / swampy / marsh texture. However, If there are any sandy beaches that are showing as this algae texture give us a shout and we will make sure we change it :D.

On the screenshot side of things I cant help you with that! Hopefully the customers will help you with that soon! However I can show you these that Ive just took with the V key, Rex and UTX Night lighting.

Hi Sam :)

Thanks for posting those ;)

Funny thing about the green beaches.. I flew around ES Guernsey this morning at a slow pace in Rick Piper's Sycamore and noticed a few algae covered areas which made me think immediately about those areas in the Wash Chris has shown us in FTX. I don't know what Donna Nook looks like in real life and haven't checked it in GenX so can't really comment.

One thing though.. I don't know how much longer I'll be able resist it

Chris, they are definitely doing both. I think Wales is the next release, which should be along quite quickly as there are no towns or cities in Wales. :hide:

Calm down, Pete  Dave's already hinted that he's done a naval gunnery course. He will certainly be able to execute clinical strikes to an amazing degree of accuracy. We wouldn't expect any collateral damage even if his battleship is moored at Spithead. It looks as though Sam has pulled off a neat tactical defence by making a generous offer (probably a bluff  ) which seems to have bought the residents of Havant some breathing space. Of course, the situation is finely balanced and could go either way.

One thing, though. Could you just pop outside and check the colour of your house ... :worried:

I did do a flight along the Dover coast last night with UTX/GEX etc and was rather disappointed to see the famous cliffs looking rather dull and streaky green *-)

So that's a minus point for GEX et al and a plus for FTX ;)

Also, the docks were (half-heartedly) modelled, but there were containers absolutely everywhere - even stacked up along the top of the cliffs! :-O

I took loadsa pics, but on second thought, it's FTX scenes we want to see, isn't it.

oh - and most of the houses in Dover were not white!

Over the Isle of Wight

I also have the VFR scenery, both have good and bad points. Overall the FTX have done a good job.
