George.. it'd be nice to have Invince sat in 3 Basin where yours is
Ben.. I don't have any other scenery than what you already know mate. It's possible I dragged those dark grey thingies over from the last install but I definitely don't have any addon scenery to put them there I'll have to take a look at Clemenceau again to see what her escort ship is but for sure, Clemenceau's traffic file wouldn't have put ships in Pompey harbour
Through a process of elimination.. eg, by disabling everything in the scenery library I found it's EarthSim IOS Maritime Traffic adding those ships to Pompey You must have IoS on your system so I don't know why you're not seeing them too. Wonder if ORBX FTX England polluted the IoS? It shouldn't have done because I did a repair and reinstall direct from ES
Start saving and get IOS, Alderney and GUE. Just remember not to add ES-IOS-Maritime Traffic
Thinking about it, there must be a way for me to utilize it by changing those Yankee bits of do-dar and the rather fine Merchant Ship for something else.

I don't think you'll find that FTX pollutes anything, Dave. 98% of it is contained in a dedicated ORBX folder, 1% is two files for each scenery area in the scenery/world/scenery folder clearly marked ORBX and 1% are desktop icons.
The official uninstall procedure is simply to switch FTX Central to default, delete the folder, files and icons and it's all gone.
It's OK, I know you won't believe them and are convinced that they are part of a conspiracy to destroy your flight simulator and that I have been brainwashed into being a subversive agent on their behalf undermining and eroding your pristine coastlines and scuttling your battle fleet. So the cold war continues and the B52s are still at Defcon 2 in the event that your side ever get an armed Vulcan into the air
I was thinking of sending them over to flatten Pompey, but looking at your pics it seems somebody beat me to it!
You ought to have seen Pompey in FTX England mate.. it NEEDED flattening
Interestingly, just having had a look in the IOS BTX folder (Maritime Traffic) the bgl says Plymouth-Ships.bgl. There are no ships in Plymouth from what I've seen but plenty in Portsmouth
I'd just like to say what a fascinating read this is, buns and all......
