This video depicts the true sounds of the Spey-506 & -511 engines which powered the BAC 1-11-200 /-300 /-400 series, quiet in the flightdeck, they were loud inside the passenger cabin if you were sitting towards the rear of the aircraft, and ear thrashing on the outside.

No BSOD with me, Dave. But a fast beating heart staring at these orange lights on takeoff... will it... temp... will it... hold on, hold on... will it... relax it's only a movie... will it... pleeeease... ah they're off, breathe in, breathe out... fine!

No.. I'm certain the blame for my BSOD and subsequent BSOD's was the Java update yesterday. I've rolled back Windows and all is well now. They're FAB sounds aren't they. I knew you'd be pleased
