Yeah, thanks for mentioning this - I usually don't bother with the Virtavia models as I have a lot of the Alphasim ones - even most of the FS9 ones work well in FSX, if with just a little tweaking.

But I've had my eye on the Virtavia Sea King for a while (as well as their Caribou and Neptune) and bought it, along with the Caribou. I would like to buy more, but I have spent an awful lot on hobbies recently and the brakes have to come on. BAe-146, these two, DCS:Huey & P-51D, CS Tristar, Beetle Print, all the bits for my panel project and a new Harder & Steenbeck airbrush!

Not had time to try the Virtavia models yet, though, as I'm very busy with DIY (that time of year!).

Oh - I also just finished putting together a new control panel. I'll put some pics in the relevant section when I get it hooked up :)

I too have bought the Sea King (FS9) along with the He-111, which had both been on my wish list for a long-o time-o. I also picked up the Cutlass (my first plastic kit - thank you, Revell), the SH-2 (my favourite helo after the MH-53) and the Lightning (gorgeous 1960s colour schemes) - not sure why the latter is only available at PC Aviator, but, what the hay ho, nonny no ...

I've just been looking at the differences between the FS9 and FSX Sea Kings, and am rather tempted by the FSX version since I'm slowly migrating in that direction, along with P3D. As with other suppliers, I'm rather disappointed that the Sea Kings are two separate products, so that's not yet set in stone.

I was briefly tempted by the Hunter and Tornado, but, despite the wealth of repaints that I've gathered for these, I'm not taking these yet as I already have the complete set of Hunters from DaveG and Tornados from DSB / Iris (some would say 'what more could I want ?' and I'm inclined to agree). Especially when there's also the AH-64 and F-104 given that I'm not aware of any decent, reasonably accurate models of either of these from other sources - Skunk Works are not on my list of "approved" suppliers. Oh yes, almost forgot, there's also the Chinook now that I'm intrigued by DaveB's comment about the two engine FDE ...

I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings,
regards,
Rohan
