I suspect this is a wind-up...after all, no-one has asked why Essex girls have "C & A" on their knickers.
Then again, mebbe the younger viewers don't remember C & A...

C & A are long gone, Mike. Along with the knickers they sold.
I'm reliably informed that today's Essex girls, those who wear knickers, sport a label reading 'Next'.
I think you'll find that the point of Mike's original C & A post wasn't about the retailer
It was that the C and the A on the label was referring to parts of a lady's anatomy using unsubtle anglo-saxon words (as possibly expressed by an Essex girl) to enable them to ensure that they were the worn the right way round. If you'd understood that joke then the one about newer panties having a 'Next' label follows on, er, seamlessly. Thank heavens Eric is still on board or where would be!
Come on chaps. Think dirty. What's wrong with everybody? Are we really having a conversation about the history of high street retailers, here?
Ian, Yes I had received the Message about putting them on in the correct orientation! Also keeping their ankles warm & the other High street retailer.....I just thought I would try a wind you lot up a bit!
Keep up the good work in keeping us amused....
Keith
